Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, who is running in Florida is under fire for appearing to have lied about getting show tickets in exchange for political favors.

National Review reports newly released records show Gillum accepted tickets for the Broadway show “Hamilton” that were purchased by an undercover FBI agent he thought was a land developer.

The documents show Gillum apparently then lied on numerous occasions in claiming he was unaware who purchased the tickets when he attended the play.

An ethics commission is also looking into trips Gillum took to New York and Costa Rica.

Current polls put Gillum ahead of Republican Ron DeSantis by nearly five points in the governor’s race.
