Democrat Gavin Newsom, who is running for governor of California, is coming under fire for possible ethics violations if he should win.

As AP reports, Newsom became a millionaire through his extensive holdings in wineries, bars, restaurants, hotels and liquor stores throughout the state.

Newsom, who has been a frequent critic of President Trump, has refused to avoid a conflict of interest and vowed to keep his holdings after he is elected, saying “These are my babies, my life.”

Newsom claims he’ll make decisions on how he’ll balance business and government work after the Nov. 6 election.

His Republican opponent John Cox is also a millionaire businessman, but all of his holding are outside of the state of California.
