Linda Boles-What Can We Do

Sometimes we wonder how we can make a difference in a world filled with darkness. As children of God, we are called to be His hands and feet in a broken world. By sharing His love to all we can make a difference. That’s what we can do.

‘Oceans’ ‘Jireh’ Performed by Taya Naomi Raine on Live TV

Music is a terrific way to share the message and love of Jesus Christ, which is precisely what two popular Christian artists did during a national television appearance.

Musicians Taya and Naomi Raine were recently on Fox & Friends. As part of the program’s “Faith & Friends Concert Series,” the two young women performed “Oceans” and “Jireh.” But instead of singing the two songs separately, the musicians provided audiences at home with a creative mashup of the two beloved songs.

Unless someone is intimately familiar with the lyrics of “Oceans” and “Jireh,” you would have never guessed that two different songs were sung. The two talented vocalists and the musicians backing them up seamlessly intertwined the songs. And it was beautiful!

Taya and Naomi gave a touching and moving performance, singing about the wonders and the love of Jesus Christ.

Before their performance on Fox News Channel’s morning show, the two artists mentioned they will be hitting the road together for their “It’s Time” tour, which will stop at cities across the country. Their tour kicks off on April 26 in Bradenton, Florida.

Additionally, Taya told the show's hosts what she hopes to accomplish with the tour as she and Naomi perform songs of praise and worship.

“I mean, the main thing is that they would have an encounter with Jesus,” Taya said. “I mean, both our lives have been changed when we’ve had moments, at similar worship nights, where other people have been leading and we’ve just been completely transformed. We, you know, we got to hear the voice of the Lord and even direction for our lives.”

Taya also added that she and Naomi are praying earnestly that those who attend their shows will experience Christ in a real way.

Both women appear to have a genuine love for Christ as they aim to minister and spread His message to others through their music!

Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

‘Thank God I Do’ Lauren Daigle Lyric Video

Lauren Daigle is one of the biggest names in Christian music, and she’s now released what is sure to be another hit song.

Life is often unpredictable and overwhelming, which can cause pain, hurt and heartache. Most, during their struggle, will hunt and search for answers. Thankfully, there is One who has a plan, has everything under control and possesses a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lauren’s latest song, “Thank God I Do,” is about not having to face those struggles and problems of life all alone. Lauren also sings she’s grateful that she does not have to go through life herself because she would not be able to do it.

In the official lyric video for Lauren’s song, not only do people watching get to hear the beautiful words and melody, but they get to read along as the lyrics appear on the screen.

In the song’s opening verse, Lauren mentions how she has endured a difficult year. She has shed many tears, fought off her fears and encountered periods of darkness. All of this, she sings, has left her with many questions.

However, in the chorus, Lauren sings that even when she faces these situations, she knows He is with her. Lauren would be lost if the Lord were not protecting her and had her in His hand.

“I don’t know where I’d go
If you ever let go
So keep me held in your hands”

In the second verse, Lauren sings thanks to the Lord. Things are starting to improve. The weight and the burden that she was feeling has been removed. When Christ is by her side, she is not missing anything. Breathing is now easier. Everything in life, the lyrics state, has become a lot less complicated.

The beautiful song ends with Lauren, once again, singing that she’s thankful she knows Christ, His peace and His protection.

Children Sing Adorable Rendition Of Classic Hymn ‘In His Time’

Hymns are often beautifully written and filled with tons of truth. “In His Time” has both of those elements.

In a video posted to YouTube, the six Asidor children sing “In His Time,” which serves as a terrific reminder of God’s timing and our need to have patience when we call upon the Lord.

Each child gets their time to shine in the spotlight as they all take turns singing about God’s timing, our need for patience and how he is teaching us constantly.

“He makes all things beautiful in His time
Lord, please show me every day
As You’re teaching me Your way”

Then about halfway through the video, at approximately the 2:45-minute mark, all six children beautifully blend their voices together. Not only do they sing adorably, but the message - patience and waiting upon the perfect will of God - imparted through the song is one that everyone needs reminded of from time to time.

Most people have a massive problem with waiting. Everyone wants their requests fulfilled immediately. Some believe that if compelled to wait any significant amount of time, it’s already been too long.

However, the Lord does not work on our timetable. He is not required to meet our requests in a time period that we deem appropriate. No, often waiting for an answer to prayer from God requires a fair amount of patience and faith.

Others who commented on the video mentioned how much they appreciated the children singing the beloved hymn.

“This is so beautiful! I needed to hear these words again. It was really nice have the children sing too. God Bless you and your family!” one person wrote.

“Excellent job kids! They’re getting better all the time! I love this song! I needed to hear that just now!” a second person added.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in his time: also he has set the world in their heart, so no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end.”

‘Sold Out’ Housefires Worship Performance

Listen to “Sold Out” performed by Housefires.

One talented group of musicians sang about their commitment level to Jesus Christ.

To truly follow Christ requires a high degree of devotion and dedication. God’s Word mentions that a total and complete surrender to Him and His will is necessary. James 4:7 encourages those who love and follow Him to “submit yourselves to God.”

In the song “Sold Out” by the Housefires, the musicians repeatedly state that they have given themselves entirely to the Lord. They are no longer living according to their wants, needs or desires. Instead, they have submitted wholly to the Lord and to His will for their lives.

That type of adherence and obedience to the Word of God will likely seem odd and out of place to those in the world. The musicians, in their lyrics, touch upon the idea that this act of surrender to Jesus Christ will not be understood or even appreciated by some.

However, instead of cowering and bending under the pressure, the questioning and possibly even the insults from the world, they will stay true to Christ. They will hold onto Christ, His Word and His guidance for their life.

“I don’t care what the world said
I got the Gospel running through my veins
I’m sold out, sold out for You”

While the song is simple, the meaning and weight behind its lyrics are substantial. The musicians mention many times how they have forsaken the things of this world and instead have chosen to live their lives in a way that glorifies Him.

Yes, taking such a step of complete surrender to Christ is a big move that requires a massive amount of faith. But His plan will always be bigger, better and greater than anything we could have envisioned for our life.

Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
