Comedy Legends Tim Conway and Harvey Korman Shine in These Hilarious Classic Skits

Comedy legends Tim Conway and Harvey Korman shine in these hilarious classic skits from The Carol Burnett Show. The Carol Burnett Show is a beloved television program that has produced hundreds of classic skits. It is comedy gold that has kept people laughing for decades, causing people to repeatedly return to it for laughs. The shows skits often consisted of a set-up that placed the iconic and talented cast members in some of the craziest situations imaginable. From that point forward, people like Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, Vick Lawrence and Harvey Korman worked their magic. They flexed their comedic muscles, often getting audiences and even their fellow cast members to burst into laughter. Everyone could easily name their favorite skit from The Carol Burnett Show. Of those skits that would be named or described, its a safe bet that most would feature Tim Conway and Harvey Korman. Those two comedic legends appeared in countless sketches together, often ending with Tim causing Harvey to break down in laughter. A clip posted on YouTube features Tim and Harvey in their best, most classic and hilarious skits. They are likely to be some of your favorites. In one skit, Tim and Harvey are guys working at extreme heights, and eventually, Tim is left dangling and holding on for dear life. Others include Tim playing his Worlds Oldest Man character, in which he continually annoys Harvey and one in which they play French divers. However, a Tim and Harvey best sketch complication would only be complete with the iconic dentist sketch. Tim plays a dentist who has no idea what hes doing but continues fumbling through a procedure. Both Harvey and Tim are left laughing. In many of them, Harvey struggles and fails to conceal his laughter. Tims hilarious antics are too much for audiences and Harvey to take. These two were the best of the best, second to none. Job 8:21 The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.

Tim Conway and Dick Van Dyke Bring the Laughs as Clumsy Window Repairmen

The legendary Tim Conway and Dick Van Dyke bring the laughs as clumsy and inept window repairmen in a classic skit from The Carol Burnett Show. Most people pride themselves on the quality of their work. They want to do their best and produce a quality product, especially if they are being paid for that work. Or that should be the goal anyway. In many ways, the kind and quality of work one puts out in the world is an advertisement of themselves to others. It shows others that this is the kind of work Im capable of and how much care and detail I invest into it. In that case, according to a clip posted on YouTube, Tim and Dick arent capable of much, especially when it comes to repairing windows. In the absolutely hilarious clip, Tim and Dick play two men working to replace a storefront window. Soon after arriving on the scene, they both get to work. Dick pulls out a tape measure to figure out the length needed for the new window. Tim, who plays his second in command, stands by, watches and then finds ways to injure himself with the measuring device. Once the length and width have been determined, both carefully carry out the nonexistent piece of glass. They mimic carrying the piece of glass out, stopping right in front of where the glass will live. But, of course, it is more complicated. Nothing ever is simple when Tim Conway is involved in it! The two go back and forth, breaking several pieces of nonexistent glass multiple times. In this skit, they also show why they are comedic legends. Both are continually hilarious throughout the seven-minute sketch without either saying a single word. Their acting is spot-on. Even though there is obviously no glass in the sketch, because of their actions and mannerisms, they might actually fool you into thinking there is one present. Proverbs 17:22 A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.

Carol Burnett and Tim Conway Plan a Pet Funeral in Hilarious Skit

The legendary Carol Burnett and Tim Conway put together a pet funeral in a hilarious skit from The Carol Burnett Show. Pets are special, and it doesnt matter whether theyre dogs, cats, rabbits, birds or snakes. They are all beloved members of the family. Soon after bringing them home, those creatures quickly find a place in our hearts and remain there forever. It gets to the point that celebrating or doing anything without them present feels weird and just plain wrong. Thats why when those creatures eventually pass away, its always a devastating and incredibly emotional situation. Even the most stoic and unemotional pet owners will shed a few tears when they lose a beloved dog or cat. They are family members and dear, loyal friends. In a clip posted on YouTube, Carol and Tim show the devastation of losing a pet and add some unexpected hilarity to the situation. Carol has just lost her beloved pet, a canary, and is, understandably, broken up about it. Tim, hoping to provide her some comfort, agrees to pay for the late birds funeral. However, things quickly get absurd after Tim agrees to foot the bill for the birds final expenses. Throughout the clip, Tim approaches the situation from a logical standpoint. But that doesnt exactly go over well, as Carol is an emotional mess. Minutes into the sketch, the audience learns that Carol is broken up about a bird she had owned for a relatively short period. Hilariously, Tim also informs viewers how the bird passed. It was a hysterical and unfortunate accident involving Carol, the bird and a vacuum cleaner. To make the situation even more absurd, the strange pet funeral home director continually and oddly inserts himself. He catches several cross-looks and sharp but witty comments from Tim. Losing a pet is never easy, but The Carol Burnett Show demonstrates that they can bring laughter to any situation. Proverbs 12:10 An upright man has thought for the life of his beast, but the hearts of evildoers are cruel.

Carol Burnett Questions Harvey Korman's Injury in Funny Sketch

In another funny sketch from The Carol Burnett Show, Carol Burnett questions the legitimacy and authenticity of Harvey Kormans injury. Human beings are not perfect in any way, shape or form. Everyone has their imperfections and flaws. Mistakes and accidents are bound to happen. They are simply an everyday part of life, especially when it comes to the road. Sometimes, they can be as run-of-the-mill and innocuous as a fender bender, or they can be much more severe, resulting in fatalities. While mistakes will still be made, driving requires our full attention (put those cell phones down!). Its always best to be honest and forthright when motor vehicle accidents happen. Nevertheless, as the hilarious clip shows, someone will always try to take advantage of the situation. In the sketch, Carol and Harvey play two people involved in an unfortunate motor vehicle accident. Carol is a woman who backed over Harvey, causing him extensive injuries, including paralysis. But as the sketch begins, we learn that Harvey is nothing but a conman looking to scam his way to thousands of dollars. Moments into the clip, Carol enters the room, and she is emotionally a mess, broken up about the pain and suffering she has caused Harvey. However, the placement of a telephone helps Carol realize that Harvey is not nearly as injured as he professes. Carol devises some ingenious and hilarious ways to get Harvey to reveal his scam. But as with every Carol Burnett Show sketch, you can never quite guess how it will end. Carol, after faking her death, startles Harvey, sending him backward onto a coffee table, complete with a loud, painful crunching sound. It appears that Harvey may now actually be injured this time. Honesty really is the best policy, even when others may try to lie, cheat and scheme their way to some easy, fast money. Proverbs 17:22 A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.

Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman's Hilarious Couple's Therapy Sketch

Legendary comedians Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman air their grievances with one another in a hilarious couples therapy sketch from The Carol Burnett Show. Marriage is a great and wonderful institution created by God Himself. In a healthy marriage, there is love, stability, peace, understanding and compromise. Marriages are also the perfect environment for bringing forth and raising children. But like anything good and worthwhile, marriage requires time, work and commitment. Part of a healthy marriage involves recognizing weaknesses and problems in the relationship and then being willing to work together to fix those issues. When a problem does arise, both people have to put forth effort to find a solution. In a clip posted on YouTube, Harvey Korman and Carol Burnett play a couple who are attending couples therapy. The sketch starts with Carol reminding her husband, Harvey, who is reading, of the day and time. Its time for their weekly airing of grievances with one another. This already sounds like a situation headed for disaster. Harvey begins the gripe session by stating that he has not had any complaints this week about his wife. Carol is shocked, to say the least. So, she continues to poke and prod Harvey into saying something, anything she may have done that irritated him. Harvey finally gives into his wifes insistence and mentions a moment during a recent couples date. According to Harvey, her voice took on a grating tone. Of course, Carol takes much offense to Harveys characterization of her voice. Harvey proceeds to mimic Carol during that particular moment. That is never a good idea, and things only go downhill from that point forward. Carol mentions something about her husband, in which she comments about his body. The sketch eventually ends with them throwing water at one another. At least they tried, right? Proverbs 17:22 A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.

Sammy Davis Jr. and Bob Hope's Side-Splitting Bloopers

The legendary Sammy Davis Jr. and Bob Hope had some absolutely side-splitting bloopers while attempting to do a song and dance number together. Everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfectfar from it. Blunders, failures, flaws and blemishes are a part of life and are here to stay as long as human beings remain on Earth. Errors and oversights are a fact of life and one that we must all accept. However, while everyone fails and messes up, not all mistakes are equal. Some are much more serious than others, with the fallout from some false or wrong moves resulting in deadly or life-altering consequences. Some others may be much more light-hearted and not nearly as consequential. In a clip posted on YouTube, Sammy and Bob are trying to rehearse and prepare a song and dance number. But they aren't having much luck. Instead, the two iconic entertainers continue to experience one hilarious blunder after another. No matter how often they try and they do it constantly, they can never get it right. When they aren't tripping up because they flub a line or miss a dance step, one is causing the other to break into laughter. But even in their mistakes, those two are still much funnier than most of the population. The video begins with Bob and Sammy attempting to introduce themselves in the sketch. Bob states who he is, and then Sammy says, he's confused because he only had one eye and it was not looking in the direction of the cue card. Thanks to their quick wit, Bob and Sammy keep each other laughing. Bob has several hysterical jokes and comebacks that have Sammy and the studio audience cracking up. Arguably, his best one is when he comments on Sammy's dancing ability. You dance like Fred, Bob tells Sammy. Astaire? Sammy asks. No, Flintstone, Bob shoots back. Proverbs 17:22 A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.

Tim Conway and Harvey Korman are Soldiers in Hysterical Sketch

Legendary comedians Tim Conway and Harvey Korman teamed up once again, this time to play soldiers in another hysterical sketch from The Carol Burnett Show. The Carol Burnett Show was a legendary and iconic television program that has kept people laughing decades after it went off the air. A big reason why so many people still find the program hilarious is due to its incredibly talented and star-studded cast. It's such a talented and legendary lineup that will likely never be rivaled by any show. Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman and Vicki Lawrence all had the ability to get everyone laughing with a few words or even a single look. Their comedic timing was unmatched, often getting their castmates to break out into laughter. However, one cast member stands out among the rest: Tim Conway. Tim often could get the entire audience, and most of the time Harvey, laughing with a solitary look. A clip posted on YouTube featuring Tim and Harvey perfectly displays Tim's comedic genius. It's an absurd and hilarious sketch that keeps everyone laughing, including Harvey. In the sketch, Tim and Harvey play soldiers. Harvey has done something egregious, and Tim is the commanding officer sent to give him a dishonorable discharge. It should be an easy, straightforward task. But that is never the case when Tim and Harvey are involved. As the clip begins, Tim slowly walks up to Harvey, and they both crack smiles. From that small, slight interaction, it's evident that this is going to be a classic sketch. After Tim informs Harvey what he is about to do, things go hilariously downhill. Tim is not successful at stripping Harvey of his military adornments. Instead, Tim inadvertently takes his own clothes off and ends up literally caught with his pants down. Throughout the sketch Tim uses a weird accent, but seems to change at the very end. It's amazing that Tim and Harvey could get through a sketch together! Proverbs 17:22 A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.

Carol Burnett and Rita Moreno Shine in Classic Comedy Sketch

The legendary Carol Burnett and Rita Moreno let their talent shine in a classic comedy sketch from The Carol Burnett Show. Comedy is much more challenging to do correctly than drama. What one person thinks is comedic gold, worthy of a belly laugh or two, will not necessarily be the next guys opinion. Comedy is so subjective, with everyone possessing a different sense of humor. But when someone can consistently and constantly keep people laughing, you know that is talent and skill at work. Carol Burnett has kept people reacting with laughter for years. The skits on her iconic program are still widely watched because they continue to cause people to burst out in laughter. In a clip posted on YouTube, Carol gets a little help from a special co-star, Rita Moreno. Carol plays a wife who is supposedly accident-prone and likely to harm herself or others. Her husband, played by Harvey Korman, has set her up with a nurse to try and protect her from herself. Despite Carols persistent objections to hiring a nurse in her husbands absence, she eventually relents, gives in and agrees to the temporary hire. Carol and Rita do not get off on the right foot. Carol takes exception to Rita, her nurse, referring to her as a pronnie or someone who is accident-prone. But things soon get much worse for Carol. While the nurse is clearing the area of objects that could lead to accidents and injuries, Carol gets put through the wringer. She is hit, stabbed, poked and pummeled. However, the tables soon get turned. Rita hilariously learns why Carol was called accident-prone and why she was hired in the first place. She is hit, stabbed and poked until she finally decides she has endured enough punishment and leaves. This absolutely classic sketch shows the comedic timing and skills of these two talented women. Proverbs 17:22 A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.

Vincent Price Hands Over Cash to Carol Burnett in Hilarious Sketch

In a hilarious sketch from The Carol Burnett Show, the legendary Vincent Price handed cash to the comedic genius Carol Burnett. Money is a necessity in life. We all need it to survive and function. However, money can also lead to issues. Having too little of it can cause problems, but having too much of it can also cause problems. A lack of monetary income makes paying bills and for essentials nearly impossible. However, someone consumed by the love of money could lose their soul. A hilarious clip on YouTube shows how money can lead people to resort to mean, despicable and questionable ways to obtain it. The clip features two legendary figures Vincent Price and Carol Burnett. In the short sketch, Vincent plays a celebrated and arrogant author at a book signing. He meets and greets fans while basking in the praise his latest work is receiving from critics and fans alike. Seconds into the skit, Carol, who dons a Girl Scouts-type outfit, enters the bookstore. She quickly explains who she is and wants to collect money to send her troop members to camp. Hilariously, Carol, who is supposed to be playing a child, will do whatever it takes to extract money from Mr. Price. She even resorts to blackmail to help fill her tin can with dollar bills. However, Carols actions become more sinister and hysterical as the sketch continues. Right before a local television interview, Carol mentions that she has found quite the loophole in Vincents latest novel, which everyone is celebrating. To try and keep her quiet, he gives her more and more money. Carol eventually ends up doing the television interview with him. She gets him to talk about her group and how it needs donations while he takes off his watch and generously hands it to her. The skit is hilarious, but it does highlight how low some people will go to get money from others. The Bible is also extremely clear about money and how Christians should watch themselves and guard their hearts regarding money. 1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all evil: and some whose hearts were fixed on it have been turned away from the faith, and been wounded with unnumbered sorrows.

The Carol Burnett Show's Hilarious Take on Commercials

The Carol Burnett Show has come up with several hilarious takes on some standard commercials. No one enjoys commercials. All commercials do is seemingly interrupt our favorite television programs at the most inopportune moment. When a character has to make an important decision that will significantly alter the episode's direction and the entire series, you can bet that a commercial is only seconds away. Unfortunately, we would not have any television programming to watch without commercials. Those ads provide the budget, paying for the shows you tune in to watch weekly. So, if we didnt have those annoying and troublesome ads, we wouldnt have TV shows. While most people arent the biggest fans of commercials, we are all incredibly familiar with them. Most of the time, based on how the commercial is put together, we can likely guess what product the ad is trying to sell. In a clip posted on YouTube, The Carol Burnett Show put together a series of hilarious parodies of a whole string of commercials. While the specific products in the ads may be unfamiliar to us, the type of commercials are ones we know well. The first commercial features Harvey Korman playing chess with several people huddled around him, watching every move very closely. One of the spectators is a man noisily munching on a bag of chips. Each bite he takes gets louder and louder. Eventually, Harvey stands up, and the two men try to outdo one another. They both take loud, highly annoying and greatly exaggerated bites of the chips. Other commercials include Harvey pitching a coffee maker that makes any coffee better and faster. Given his pained and hilarious expression, his previous statement is not entirely true. Another faux commercial included in the sketch compilation shows a mother entering her surprise party and being moved to tears. The older woman is quickly handed her gift: a box of tissues. Her daughter and the other guests then promptly exit. Job 8:21 The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.

Carol Burnett as Elderly Woman Brings the Laughs in Classic Skit

Carol Burnett, while playing an elderly woman, brought the laughs in a classic skit from The Carol Burnett Show. No one has yet found a way to stop or slow down time. Since time continues to move forward at a steady and consistent pace, aging is still a process everyone experiences. Every second, minute and hour passes, we get a little older. Since aging is an unfortunate fact of life and nothing we can stop or avoid, we might as well accept it. Worrying about getting older or something else we have no control over does no one any good. The best thing we can do regarding aging is to make and poke fun at it. Try to find the humor and the good in getting older. That is precisely what Carol and Harvey Korman did in another hilarious sketch from The Carol Burnett Show. In the clip, Carol plays an elderly woman who is being honored for her many contributions to the world of acting. Movie stars and media members have come out in full force to celebrate Stella Toddlers (Carols character) achievement. However, because of Stellas advanced age, several problems occur in the lead-up to her big moment. For starters, Stella has quite the issue with her hearing. It appears that shes unable to hear when a megaphone is literally placed up to her ear. Stellas lack of hearing and her equally poor balance result in her being beaten senseless. She takes one inadvertent strike after another. At one point, she even ends up lying, face-first, on a massive, scorching light. She is mistakenly flipped on her back, allowing her back to rest on the blazing light fixture. But, as with most good sketches, the biggest laugh is saved for last. Throughout the sketch, Harvey appears on the verge of bursting into laughter, as he often does in skits. However, he does his best to keep from breaking character as Carol steals the show, providing one laugh after another. Job 8:21 The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, cries of joy will come from your lips.

Harvey Korman's Comical Antics to Avoid Chores in Hysterical Sketch

In yet another hysterical sketch from The Carol Burnett Show, Harvey Korman used some comical moves and hilarious antics to avoid doing chores around the house. Like everything good and worthwhile, marriage is hard and requires constant work. Of course, not every moment in a marriage is sunshine and roses. Married couples will experience their fair share of ups and downs. Anyone who has been married for any time understands that there are bound to be fights and tiffs in every marriage. No marriage is perfect, and no two people are going to agree on everything all the time. Disagreement is a part of life, and its about finding a compromise and a way to work through it. In a hilarious clip from The Carol Burnett Show, Carol and Harvey play a married couple. Carol and her sister are working, preparing the living floor to be cleaned. But they both know they will need Harveys help moving the furniture. With hilarious accuracy, Carol predicts she will encounter impediments when moving the furniture. Carol knows her husband exceptionally well and can anticipate Harveys moves and words to get out of helping even before he enters the room. Hilariously, Carol is right on the money every single time. She even knows the exact words and phrasing of the excuses her husband will give her. Harvey continues to give Carol flimsy excuse after weak excuse. He wants nothing more than to watch football in peace, and he doesnt want to move furniture now. He makes that incredibly loud and clear to Carol. Despite Harvey's many protests, Carol insists on his help moving the furniture. The married couple goes around and around, yelling at one another while the furniture remains in the same place. But things turn unexpectedly when a neighbor comes over, and Harvey immediately changes his tune. All his ailments and illnesses are magically gone, and he wants to move the furniture now. Job 8:21 The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.

Bob Hope and Big Bird's Funny Back-and-Forth Is Comedy Gold

Legendary comedian Bob Hope and Big Bird had a hilarious back-and-forth conversation that is pure comedy gold. Comedy can take many forms, some of which may not be for everyone. Some of those forms includes physical comedy, in which comedians and actors use their bodies in different and hilarious ways. But there is also the snappy, quick-witted type of comedy, which commonly uses funny one-liners and clever wordplay to get the audience laughing in their seats. Talented comedians can easily and masterfully perform many different types of comedy. Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Tim Conway and Harvey Korman are a few of the people who fit into this category of versatile comedians. The hysterical and iconic Bob Hope should also be included in that list. In a clip posted on YouTube, Bob shows that he can still bring the house down with laughter even if his comedic sparring partner is a famous big yellow bird. According to the video's description, Big Bird appeared with the legendary comedian on his World of Comedy special in October 1976. Bob and the famous character from Sesame Street mention several topics in the three-minute clip. Big Bird asks if Bob has yet been promoted from the alphabet to entire words. Bob responds incredulously that he knows how to read and write, and he makes the yellow bird aware that he has authored seven books. The bird shoots back that hes aware of his books. This causes the entire audience to break out in laughter. Next, Big Bird wonders aloud if hes meant for primetime network television because he had been informed that only turkeys appeared on those channels. While Big Bird does get in many shots at Bob, he takes them all in stride. He sets up every one of the jokes, allowing his feathered guest to get the laugh. Bob demonstrated that he was a good sport and was willing to take a couple of jokes at his expense. Proverbs 17:22 A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.

Detective Duo's Hilarious Mishaps in Side-Splitting Carol Burnett Sketch

A detective duo has several hilarious mishaps in another classic and side-splitting sketch from The Carol Burnett Show. There is a wide range of comedy films, basically something for every taste and preference. One such film is the buddy cop film. Buddy cop comedies have essentially become their own genre due to the high number of them Hollywood has and continues to produce. Films like Rush Hour, 48 Hrs., Beverly Hills Cop and the Lethal Weapon movies all follow a similar, predictable set-up and formula: Two mismatched police officers are thrown together to solve a murder, robbery or other crime. Initially, the two cops dont get along or care for one another. However, through a series of mishaps and hilarious situations, the officers become friends and eventually solve the crime at the last minute. In another hilarious sketch posted on YouTube, Carol plays a severely injured and inept detective with her husband. Yes, they are detectives and not police officers, but the nearly eight-minute sketch very closely resembles a buddy cop movie. They are both totally and utterly useless as detectives, having never even had one case. But, out of nowhere, they get a phone call. Its someone asking for help trying to find the person who is threatening her life. Well, have no fear because Carol and her detective husband are on the case. On second thought, if you hired these two to help you find someone who wants you dead, youve become pretty desperate. However, Carol and her husband fumble their way through the case and somehow, some way finds the culprits. This short sketch is jam-packed with laughs. Most of them come from the large amount of physical comedy as Carol accidentally keeps whacking people on the head with the oversized cast on her arm. In this sketch, Carol Burnett shows again why she is considered a comedic legend. Proverbs 17:22 A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.

Andy Griffith and Carol Burnett Tackle Marital Problems in Classic Sketch

Everyone loves a good comedy about marriage relationships. Check out this video as Andy Griffith and Carol Burnett tackle marital problems in this classic sketch. The clip starts out showing the husband in many picture frames as a football coach with his trophies in their family living room. The wife suddenly throws one of the frames to the ground as the daughter comes in. She tries to comfort her mother, and she says that she has it bad because she wishes she had a girls name. She reveals that her name is Bronco. The mom jokes that she fought it the best she could. She comically encourages the daughter that at least she has a normal middle name, Ralph. The audience laughs. The wife answers the door alone, and the daughter flees in fear. He comes in and tries to do a football play. He punches her in the shoulder. He says, give another kiss. He blows a whistle and then makes her do a football play and smacks her on the bottom. They drink martinis out of an ice bucket, and the husband tells her that she has no team spirit. He threatens to bench her. She sits down. The dad calls in Bronco. He tells her she is out of the family. He jokes that he can make a trade. They joke about their honeymoon at the Green Bay Packers game at halftime. Merlin, a football friend of the husband's, comes in. She kisses Merlin in hopes of getting him kicked out. She yells the football term hut at him, so he leaves. She tells her football-crazed husband that she is through. She gets her coat and busts out; she jokes that when she is gone, no one will know she was ever married to a football coach. As she busts through the door, the number 30 is sewn on the back of her coat like a jersey. The audience laughs. Marriage can be challenging. It is important to cultivate it, communicate, and love each other well. May this video remind us that we should seek God in our marriages to help us in our struggles. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:33

Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman Clash with Their Maid in Classic Sketch

Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman experienced quite the clash with their maid in a classic and hilarious sketch from The Carol Burnett Show. Completing all the household chores in a timely manner can be a big job and nearly impossible with everything else people have going on in their lives. Thats why some people look for outside help when it comes to cooking, cleaning and laundry. Some opt to hire a maid to help them around the house. In a sketch posted on YouTube, Carol and Harvey play a married couple who have recently hired a maid. The clip begins with both of them anxiously awaiting the arrival of their new employee. Getting things done around the house will now be much easier, or so they thought. Carol feels a tad self-conscious because their maid is described as a beautiful young woman from Ireland. She wonders if having a younger woman around the house is such a good idea. On the other hand, Harvey also looks forward to having this person around. He even bought her an outfit, which Carol is entirely against. However, after the maid arrives, things go from bad to worse for Harvey and Carol. Instead of a woman in her 20s or 30s, their employee is near retirement age. The woman admits that that was a bit of a fib on her part. But then the woman makes herself right at home, even putting on Carols bathrobe and slippers. It gets worse. The woman who is hired to clean around the house is completely unfamiliar with a vacuum cleaner. Near the end of the sketch, Harvey and Carol learn that the woman is not even from Ireland but from the Bronx in New York. Harvey and Carol are beside themselves, realizing pretty early that they have made a terrible hire. Oh well, their mistake made for an absolutely hilarious sketch! Proverbs 17:22 A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.
